Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking a per diem Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness across hospital areas. The role supports patient rooms, units and common spaces in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

This position emphasizes strict infection control, timely completion of tasks, and adherence to department policies. Hospital experience is preferred but not required, and it offers a flexible schedule to support the hospital’s operations.

Qualifications

• One to three (1-3) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous hospital experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the environmental services department.
• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Follows all infection control practices including hand hygiene techniques, standard precautions and isolation precautions.
