Job summary

Arkansas Hospice is seeking a Social Worker (LSW/BSW or LMSW/LCSW) to support patients and families, perform psychosocial assessments, provide counseling, and participate in the interdisciplinary team in North Little Rock, AR. The role emphasizes crisis intervention, education, and community outreach.

Education includes a BSW with MSW preferred; licensure as LSW required and LCSW preferred. Valid Arkansas license and driving requirements apply.

Qualifications

• BSW required; MSW preferred.
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) required; LCSW preferred.
• Arkansas driver’s license, car, and car insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Provides palliative and supportive casework to address financial and emotional issues related to death and dying.
• Participates in admission process and helps develop care plans.
• Conducts initial psychosocial and bereavement assessments and ongoing reassessments.
• Maintains documentation in patient records and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team.
• Delivers community education and outreach; serves as patient/family advocate.
• Participates in QAPI and agency events; maintains confidentiality.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) required; Master’s degree (MSW) preferred.
