Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse - Per Diem to deliver compassionate in-home care. You will perform initial assessments, help plan and adjust the care plan, and collaborate with the care team to ensure comfort and quality at home.

This per diem role offers competitive pay of $38.00–$42.00 per hour plus mileage, with 401k matching. Applicants must hold an RN license, CPR certification, a valid driver's license, and be prepared for on‑call duties.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state(s) you work.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial nursing assessment on new admissions.
• Coordinates and revises the total plan of care with the care team.
• Communicates patient progress to the clinical manager and physician.
• Maintains individualized patient care records with accuracy.
• Records pain/symptom management changes/outcomes.
• Educates families on patient condition and needs.
• Makes referrals to other hospice disciplines as needed.
• Performs on‑call responsibilities and on‑call services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
