Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse in Georgia to provide expert home-based hospice care as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will perform routine and crisis assessments, manage patient symptoms, educate families, and coordinate with IDT to uphold comfort and dignity in challenging times.

The role requires an RN license and CPR certification, with flexibility to meet agency staffing needs and after-hours on-call support.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Active RN license in state of employment required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Completes routine and emergency assessments on each patient as indicated by policy.
• Provides clinical and psycho-social services as indicated by plan of care through case management.
• Records observations, treatments, and other pertinent information.
• Communicates with IDT, Medical Director, and attending Physician regarding measures to alleviate symptoms and monitors response.
• Educates patient/caregiver regarding care of patient, disease process, dying process, symptom control, and wound care.
