Job summary

Hospice of the Western Reserve in Ohio is seeking a Board Certified Music Therapist for a full-time position. You will provide direct services to hospice patients and families in homes, inpatient units and alternative settings, conducting assessments and interventions.

The role requires collaboration with the transdisciplinary team, education of staff, record-keeping, bereavement support, and potential supervision of interns, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Music Therapist with licensure or credentialing as required.
• At least 1 year experience in music therapy; hospice or end-of-life setting preferred.
• Ability to transport equipment; valid driver’s license and vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service to hospice patients and families in homes, units and alternative locations.
• Conduct assessments and interventions to meet individual needs.
• Educate staff about music therapy and interventions for patient care.
• Maintain records and participate in transdisciplinary team conferences.
• Provide bereavement follow-up and facilitate groups when requested.
