Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Home Health and Hospice in Maine. The role delivers personal care and homemaker services per a care plan, with assessments of daily living activities and supervision of care.

Eligible candidates may receive sign-on bonuses; 0-1 year experience earns $2,500 and 1+ years earns $4,000 for full-time roles. Benefits and prorated offers apply for part-time positions.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must obtain 12 hours of education annually.
• License/Certifications: State of Maine CNA certification required. Valid driver’s license with vehicle and liability insurance as specified by agency policy required.
• Hospice certification must be obtained within two years of employment. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: Two years of experience as CNA or Home Health Aide required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and homemaker services per care plan.
• Assess patient’s personal care needs and activities of daily living.
• Supervise and coordinate care with the health care team.
