AccentCare, a leading hospice provider, is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide / CNA in Austin, TX. The role supports patients at home or facility settings with personal care and comfort.

Requirements include state CNA certification, CPR where required, clean registry, reliable vehicle and driver’s license. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow within a patient-centered team.

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse’s aide, with completion of required training and a passing score on the agency’s competency exam.
• CPR certification required for direct patient care in applicable states.
• Must be listed on the state aide registry with a clear record and eligible to provide care in homes, nursing facilities, or hospitals.
• Requires a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and state-required auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to hospice patients, including assistance with personal hygiene, repositioning, and mobility support.
• Support patients in their homes or care facilities through movement and activities, ensuring timely and dignified end-of-life care.
• Monitor comfort levels, respond to needs, and assist with daily living activities while maintaining safety and dignity.
• Operate in home and facility environments, upholding infection control and safety protocols.
