Job summary

Tidewell Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated CNA to care for patients in private homes, long-term care facilities, or assisted-living facilities on a full-time basis in southwest Florida. As part of Empath Health, you will deliver compassionate Full Life Care, follow the Hospice Aide Plan of Care, report changes to the nurse, and maintain confidentiality.

A Florida CNA license is required; driving is optional.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License) required.
• One to Three Years of training and/or experience; long-term care strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports and carries out the organization's mission, vision, and values on a consistent basis.
• Performs only those personal care/home maintenance activities contained in a written assignment (Hospice Aide Plan of Care) by a health professional employee.
• Recognizes and reports unusual conditions, incidents or behavior of a patient and/or patient/family interaction to the patient's nurse or supervisory nurse.
• Recognizes the role of the Hospice Aide and works within that scope of practice at all times.
• Maintains utmost respect for confidentiality in care of the patient/family.
