Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH in the United States is seeking a Hospice Aide for full-time days (Mon-Fri, 8-5). The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and pay of $22-$24 per hour. CNA license is required, with responsibilities including personal care and home health tasks.

As part of a leading home health provider, you will support patients at home, follow care plans, and document observations while maintaining safety and compassion in daily routines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification/registration.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to care tasks such as ambulation, transfers, positioning, and household chores.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient's status to the primary nurse.
• Follows written instructions for personal care from a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by a nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
