Hospice of North Alabama in Scottsboro, AL is seeking a compassionate Hospice CNA to join our dedicated team. You will provide 1:1 patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and support families during challenging times. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with daytime hours and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• CPR certification current where required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Understanding hospice philosophy and providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Ability to handle death/dying.
• Minimum of six months experience including providing personal care.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care to patients and families.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition.
• Assist with mobility, ambulation and safe equipment use.
• Assist with medication management as per state regulations.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team.
