Job summary

Hospice Home Care in Conway, AR is seeking a compassionate Hospice CNA for a part-time role. You will provide 1:1 patient care, assist with bathing, mobility, and daily activities, and report changes to the care team.

You’ll work with a supportive interdisciplinary team in a hospice setting, offering empathy, documentation, and patient-family comfort while maintaining independence and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Meet the training requirements of the state of practice.
• Minimum of six months experience including providing personal care.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training, including 16 hours of required training.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
• Understands hospice philosophy and can provide specialized care to the terminally ill.
• Ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Ability to handle death/dying.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Help with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning.
• Monitor & Report: Observe and report changes in the patient’s condition.
• Mobility: Assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM exercises and safe equipment use.
• Medication Assistance: Help with self-administered medications per state regulations.
• Emotional Support: Offer companionship and comfort to patients and families.
• Light Housekeeping: Change linens, assist with meals, and maintain a clean space.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Team Participation: Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team.
