Job summary

Compassus seeks a Hospice Aide to provide compassionate in-home care, supporting patients and families in the comfort of the patient’s home. You will collaborate with a hospice team to address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, promoting dignity and comfort during end-of-life care.

The role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and consistent, high-quality patient care in the home setting, with opportunities for growth within a supportive, family-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must meet state nurse aide requirements or have completed a state-approved nurse aide training program and have been continuously employed in that capacity for the previous 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide comfort care to patients enabling them to remain at home with their loved ones.
• Work as a member of the hospice team to meet each patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Help patients approach their final days with joy, peace, and dignity.
• Enhance the quality of someone’s life every day.
