Job summary

Buena Vista Hospice is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide (CHHA) to join our compassionate team in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. The role supports patients under a registered nurse, performing essential personal care, observation, and documentation to ensure comfort and quality of life.

You will work independently within a collaborative hospice setting and receive mentorship, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active CA CHHA license is required.
• At least 1 year of patient care experience, preferably in home health.
• Valid driver’s license with insured automobile as per organization policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (baths, hygiene, dressing, toileting) and maintain patient comfort.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals; assist in feeding when needed.
• Take and record vital signs as ordered (temp, pulse, resp, BP).
• Assist with ambulation and exercise per care plan.
• Support patient self-administration of medications as directed.
• Maintain safety and proper use of equipment; report changes to nurse.
