Job summary

Altra Homecare of Kokomo in Marion, Indiana, is seeking compassionate Homecare Caregivers to provide in-home personal care services to patients. This role emphasizes safety, patient comfort, and adherence to care protocols, with opportunities for both part-time and full-time work.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided
• Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient laundry when necessary
• Provide medication reminders
• Ensure patient safety
• Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor
• Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required
• Monitor and record patient temperature
• Assist patients with ambulation
• Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols
• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines
• Offer bathing assistance
• Perform light housekeeping
• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading
