Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's At Home Healthcare division is seeking a Speech Therapist for home health to assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive needs. You will develop treatment plans, deliver interventions, and monitor patient progress in collaboration with the health care team.

The role requires state licensure in speech therapy, current CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle or reliable transit.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence
• Current CPR certification
• Current driver’s license with access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws and plan of care, coordinating with health care team
• Evaluates patient function and assists in developing therapy plan of care
• Treats patients to improve communication according to patient condition
• Observes, records, and reports response to treatment and condition changes
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver in speech therapy areas they can participate
