Job summary

Quality Private Duty Care seeks a capable Registered Nurse in Tennessee to provide in-home care under the direction of the Director of Patient Services. The role centers on maintaining patient hygiene, safety, nutrition, and overall well-being while adhering to care plans and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate will have a TN RN license, a valid TN driver's license, and the ability to coordinate with a care team to support patient independence and comfort in the home setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Tennessee.
• Current valid Tennessee driver's license.
• Must be able to provide direct patient care.
• Experience with home health visits preferred.
• Ability to read and write per job requirements.
• Comprehension of personal care, housekeeping and meal prep basics.
• Maintains confidentiality and ethical patient care standards.
• Reliable transportation or access to transportation.

Responsibilities

• Helps the client maintain good personal hygiene.
• Maintains a healthful, safe environment for the client.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals as directed.
• Assists the client with ambulating.
• Follows physician orders and supervisor approval for treatments.
• Participates in rehabilitative processes as needed.
• Encourages independence per the nursing care plan.
• Keeps client mentally engaged with activities of interest.
• Provides emotional support to client and family.
• Reports changes in condition to supervisor promptly.
• Documents visits and updates the clinical record weekly.
• Coordinates care with other health care team members.
• Performs routine housekeeping per Plan of Care.
• Follows universal precautions and maintains confidentiality.
