Job summary

Amedisys, one of the largest and most trusted home health and hospice companies in the U.S., is hiring a PRN Day Shift Home Health Aide to support patients at home.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, keep environments clean and safe, and report changes to the care team. Orientation lasts 9–10 weeks with a pay range of $17.50 to $22.00 per hour, plus benefits such as PTO, health plans, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state Certification as CNA per state requirements.
• CNA experience within last two years or complete training if longer.
• Must pass care center competency program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtains temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
• Assists patient with bed mobility, bathing, hygiene, and toileting.
• Prepares and assists with meals.
• Performs light homemaking and environmental services; observes and reports changes in patient status.
