Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society in Hastings, NE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a PRN position. You will perform tasks as delegated and indicated on the care plan under RN supervision, assisting residents with daily living activities and respecting dignity and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Completion of nurse aide training totaling 75 hours preferred, with minimum 16 hours supervised practical training and 16 hours classroom.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
• If in North Dakota, be registered as Home Health Aide within four months from date of hire.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on location.
• Ongoing training and competency validation annually tracked.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks as delegated and indicated on the care plan under the supervision of an RN.
• Utilizes knowledge of body functioning and age-related changes to care for neonatal to geriatric patients/residents.
• Assists patients/residents with daily living activities (dressing, bathing, eating).
• Maintains courteous, caring interpersonal interactions and adheres to organizational policies and procedures.
