Job summary

Active Day is seeking a Personal Care Aide to support home-based clients with daily living activities, health monitoring, transportation, and personal care. Our team focuses on safety, dignity, and compassionate service in clients' homes.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, light housekeeping, mobility, and notifying supervisors of changes in condition, while maintaining a positive, professional attitude and flexible schedule. Prior health care or CNA/HHA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum ages: 18+ for non-driving roles; 21+ for driving roles.
• HHA or CNA certification preferred.
• For driving roles: valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
• Minimum one year of full-time healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience with seniors or adults with special needs preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Flexible schedule required.
• Ability to bend, lift 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance for activities of daily living and personal care (e.g., meals, ambulation, transfers, therapies, rest room assistance).
• Provide home support including light cleaning, laundry, shopping, and home safety.
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks; assist with feeding as needed.
• Observe for changes in condition; escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Run errands as needed (shopping, appointments).
• Ensure safety by maintaining sanitary, clutter-free environments.
• Communicate positively with members, families, and staff.
• Comply with policies, safety standards, and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
