Job summary

Unifi Healthcare in Wilmington, NC is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide essential personal care under RN supervision. You will help with ADLs, document care, and support safety and comfort in the home.

Responsibilities include meal support, companionship, and transportation assistance, with ongoing RN guidance and training. Strong communication and English literacy are required for effective coordination with families and providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Approved HHA training program required.
• Competency testing completed.
• CPR/First Aid certification current.
• TB screening within past year.
• Clear state background check required.
• Reliable transportation with valid auto insurance.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers.
• Provide meal planning, preparation and feeding support.
• Document care, vital signs, intake/output daily.
• Report changes to RN Case Manager or administrator.
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands.
• Engage clients in activities and provide emotional support.
• Maintain infection control and safety in the home.
