Job summary

Vertical Home Health is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to join our Indianapolis team. The on-call role guarantees 40 hours per week with shifts 8:00 am–4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Candidates must be HHA certified in Indiana and able to drive at least 25 miles from home, with the flexibility to work with diverse clients and pets. We offer medical, dental, and life insurance, PTO, an incentives program, and a referral bonus as part of our benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of healthcare or in-home care experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; HHA experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work different shifts, including nights/weekends.
• Compassionate, supportive and patient with clients in a one-on-one setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgery by attending to basic needs.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility around the house or to appointments.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene and daily living activities.
• Plan and prepare meals for clients.
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to run errands.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean environment.
• Report unusual incidents and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Support daily living activities including meal service when needed.
