Job summary

Assurance Care & Support Services Inc is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to provide one-to-one care in clients' homes in Massachusetts. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, and medication reminders while maintaining a safe, clean environment and documenting care activities.

Applicants should have a valid HHA/PCA certification or be willing to obtain one, with strong communication and interpersonal skills and reliable transportation for home visits.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or completion of a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) training program or willingness to obtain.
• Previous experience in home healthcare or a related field is preferred.
• Compassion, empathy, and a genuine interest in improving the lives of others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and adapt to the unique needs of each client.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, if required for home visits.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting per care plan.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and prescribed exercises.
• Administer medication reminders and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation to maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
• Support emotional well-being and companionship.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping, and activities as needed.
• Document care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for coordinated client care.
