Job summary

KALCARE HEALTH CARE is seeking a Home Health Aide to work one-on-one with patients in their homes. You will follow care plans, provide assistance with daily activities, document care, and help maintain a safe, healthy home environment.

Ideal candidates have completed an accredited Home Health Aide program, hold a high school diploma or GED, possess a driver’s license, CPR certification, and experience with EMR charting. Prior hospice/home health experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two-year prior professional experience.
• Driver’s license required.
• CPR certification required.
• TB test within last 1 year or chest x ray within last 5 years.
• Background Check Required.
• Experience within EMR Charting.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care.
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert.
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities.
