Senior Helpers in Shelbyville is seeking a Home Care Caregiver to support clients at home, helping them stay independent and safe. The role includes companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation assistance as needed.

The position offers full-time or part-time hours, with benefits such as PTO, a 401(k), and paid overtime/holidays for eligible staff. Successful candidates will pass screenings and complete required training.

Qualifications

• Must have appropriate license or designation to provide Personal Care services and pass skills assessment within 30 days.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level.
• Reliable transportation with valid, active insurance and a valid driver's license.
• Maintain negative TB skin test annually and pass drug screenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
• Assist with light housekeeping and household tasks.
• Support daily living activities and errands as needed.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and walking when necessary.
• Plan meals and assist with preparation and nutrition.
• Give medication reminders and monitor health changes.
• Maintain client records per policy and report changes to management.
• Adhere to policies, training, and safety procedures.
