Ambercare is hiring Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support seniors and disabled clients in their own homes across Santa Fe, Pojoaque, Tesuque, Los Alamos, Chimayo, and surrounding communities in New Mexico.

The on-call Home Care Aide - Flex position requires five days per week with at least one weekend day, providing up to 40 hours weekly with 20 guaranteed. Strong compassion and reliability are essential in this meaningful role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Able to work 5 days per week with at least one weekend day and 40 hours (20 guaranteed).
• On-call for 24-hour shifts.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Nurturing and compassionate by nature.

Responsibilities

• Call office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide routine house cleaning, meal prep, and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
