Job summary

Affordable Family Care Services - Raleigh is seeking Personal Care Aides to support seniors and individuals with disabilities at home. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor basic health cues, and help maintain independence and dignity for clients in their familiar environment.

Responsibilities include hygiene assistance, mobility support, light meals, transportation, and coordination with caregivers and medical professionals.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• You will need a current TB test.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Employer uses E-Verify for eligibility to work.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and other daily tasks.
• Perform basic health care tasks including monitoring vital signs or administering prescribed medications.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Make transportation arrangements or provide transportation as needed.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Observe and report on each client's condition to supervisors.
• Stay up-to-date with home health aide training, policies and procedures.
