Job summary

Senior Helpers of the Bluegrass is seeking caring individuals for in-home non-medical support. As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you will engage clients in conversations, assist with daily living activities, and help with meals and mobility, all while enjoying a respectful, team-oriented workplace.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds independently.
• Reliable transportation with valid, active insurance.
• Valid, active driver's license.
• Maintain negative TB Skin Test annually.
• Satisfactory Employment Background Screenings.
• Satisfactory Drug Screenings prior to employment and throughout employment.
• Appropriate license or designation to provide Personal Care services and ability to pass the skills assessment by the management/administrative team within 30 days of job offer.

Responsibilities

• Have conversations with clients to build relationships.
• Participate in clients’ hobbies and assist with daily living activities.
• Prep meals for clients to enjoy.
• Assist with walking, dressing, and other activities of living.
• Report completed activities and updates on clients’ condition and behavior.
