Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care Fairfield, CT is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide non-medical in-home support. You will offer companionship, assist with daily activities, and help with personal care and transportation to appointments at client locations in Fairfield County.

A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. You must be at least 18, authorized to work in the US, and fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (travel is required).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with clients and families.
• Demonstrated patience, empathy, compassion, dependability, integrity, and strong interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work in a team or independently and follow leadership directions.
• Ability to pass background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients through conversations, activities, and engagement.
• Transport clients to doctor appointments, errands, and social activities as needed.
• Perform light homemaking tasks and assist with meals, laundry, and basic cleaning.
• Assist with activities of daily living including mobility, personal care, bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
• Provide reminders for medications and daily routines.
