Job summary

Institute on Aging in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides to support older adults and people with disabilities in their homes. You will assist with personal care, accompany clients to appointments, help with transfers, meals, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and provide companionship.

Required: Livescan clearance, TB clearance, proof of eligibility to work in the U.S., and at least 1 year of non-medical caregiving experience.

Qualifications

• Livescan/Fingerprinting clearance; clean criminal background.
• TB clearance (skin test, Xray or blood test).
• Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (2 I-9 compliant IDs).
• At least 1 year of non-medical caregiving experience.
• English language proficiency required.
• Bilingual in Tagalog, Spanish, Chinese or Russian desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Drive or accompany clients to shopping, errands or appointments.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, or exercise.
• Meal preparation including special diets and feeding assistance.
• Light housekeeping and medication reminders.
• Provide companionship to clients.
