Job summary

ComForCare Portland South is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, and non-medical household tasks under RN supervision. You will maintain client rights, confidentiality, and accurate records, and may provide medication reminders following agency policies.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, meal preparation, mobility assistance, and companionship.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a current driver’s license, proof of vehicle registration and valid insurance.
• Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must communicate effectively with clients and staff.
• Must adhere to agency policies at all times and report deficiencies.

Responsibilities

• The Caregiver assists with bathing, dressing, grooming, nail and personal care.
• The Caregiver assists with ambulation, transfers, range of motion and safe use of equipment.
• The Caregiver assists with toileting, meal planning, preparation, and feeding.
• The Caregiver provides emotional support and companionship.
• The Caregiver maintains agency records and reports client condition changes.
• The Caregiver reports signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation per policy.
• The Caregiver follows infection control and safety procedures.
