Job summary

Open Arms Link in Michigan is seeking a compassionate, dependable Caregiver to support individuals in our residential homes. You will assist with daily living activities, hygiene, meals, mobility, and documentation to ensure comfort and safety.

You will accompany residents to appointments and activities, help with transportation, and collaborate with clinical staff to monitor needs. The role requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to pass background checks and trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age (16 with permissions).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Capable of responding to emergencies.
• Provide at least 3 references (at least 2 professional).
• Must demonstrate the ability to successfully complete training (online and CMH).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care and daily living needs, including hygiene, mobility, medication assistance, meals, and housekeeping.
• Support residents with community outings, social activities, and medical appointments.
• Transport residents to approved activities and appointments (use of personal vehicle may be required).
• Administer medications and treatments as trained and document appropriately.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate resident needs and concerns with supervisors and clinical staff.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
