Job summary

Action Health Staffing in Rocky Mount, NC, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home patient care in the client’s residence. Schedule: Monday–Friday and every other weekend, under supervision of a registered nurse or supervisor.

The CNA will perform direct patient care, personal hygiene assistance, transfers, meals, companionship, and light housekeeping, while maintaining accurate records and following the Plan of Care and EVV guidelines. Confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Maintain DFS certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow directions.
• Ability to perform lifting, bending and standing.
• Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Provide personal hygiene care and assist with transfers, repositioning and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises.
• Prepare meals with consideration of client’s dietary needs.
• Provide companionship and activities; light housekeeping as assigned.
• Maintain records and report changes in client condition.
• Follow Plan of Care and EVV task requirements.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and safety at all times.
