Job summary

Assisted Home Health & Hospice in the Los Angeles area seeks compassionate Home Care Aides to provide non-medical personal care and companionship to clients in their homes. Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, meal preparation, mobility support, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and accompanying clients to appointments, with care plans followed and progress reported.

Requirements: 18+, TB clearance, valid driver’s license and insurance, ability to read/write English, prior home

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• TB clearance is required.
• A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Successful completion of orientation and training.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating as needed.
• Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization.
• Provide medication reminders and assistance with self-administered medications.
• Accompany clients to appointments, shopping, errands, and recreational activities.
• Offer companionship, cognitive support, and respite care for clients with dementia.
• Document services using the agency's WellSky system.
• Follow individualized care plans and report changes to the Program Manager.
• Complete annual continuing education and required training.
