Job summary

Visiting Angels in San Fernando Valley/Orange County area is seeking a Home Care Aide to work with patients in one-on-one home care plans. You will provide personal care, mobility assistance, and companionship, building trusting relationships in the comfort of patients' homes.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year of professional experience, and a valid driver's license. CPR is preferred. Compensation ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of prior professional experience in home care or related field.
• Driver’s license is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care.
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report to supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert.
• Give medication reminders.
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities.
