Job summary

EmpathyHands Homecare LLC seeks a compassionate Home Care Aide to work with patients in their homes on a one-on-one basis, following personalized care plans. You will perform daily living activities, monitor wellbeing, and communicate observations to your supervisor.

You should be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of building trusting relationships. Prior home health exposure and a California HCA registration are a plus; CPR and TB testing are required, with current TB test and Live Scan

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two-year prior professional experience.
• Driver’s license or ID.
• CPR certification required.
• Current TB test.
• Live Scan and register with the California Home Care Registry (HCA).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as baths, transfer wheelchairs, or ambulating.
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home Light housekeeping, and assisting with personal care.
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert.
• Medications reminders.
• Engage patients in range of motion exercises or other activities.
