Job summary

Magnolia Family Home Healthcare is seeking a compassionate home health aide to assist clients in Texas with daily living activities, meal preparation, companionship, and light housekeeping during scheduled visits.

You will follow the client’s service plan, document services, and maintain client privacy and safety. Orientation and training are provided, with strict adherence to attendance and reporting protocols.

Qualifications

• Meet applicable age, qualification, screening, and employment requirements for the assigned role.
• Complete MHHC orientation and required training before performing assigned duties.
• Demonstrate competency in assigned tasks when required and receive client-specific instructions before service begins.
• Communicate respectfully, maintain confidentiality, protect client property, and follow professional boundaries.
• Follow attendance, call-out, incident-reporting, documentation, infection-prevention, emergency, and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hygiene) when in the client’s service plan.
• Provide companionship and respectful conversation during visits.
• Assist with routine meal preparation and feeding assistance as authorized.
• Perform light household tasks related to client care (tidying, laundry, linens, dishes) as included in the plan.
• Support safe mobility and ambulation; report fall risks or mobility changes.
• Provide reminders and permitted medication assistance as authorized by law and policy.
• Follow the agreed visit schedule and notify supervisor of delays or issues.
• Report changes in client condition or safety concerns through the required process.
• Review client service plan before care; document time and services per EVV where applicable.
• Document observations objectively and avoid diagnosing or making clinical decisions.
• Protect client privacy, personal information, home, money, and belongings; keep areas safe.
