Job summary

Ambercare seeks a flexible Home Care Aide - Core to support seniors and disabled clients living at home who need assistance with daily tasks. The role is on call for 5 days per week with 40 hours total and 20 hours guaranteed.

The aide follows care plans, assists with personal care and daily living tasks, and accompanies clients to appointments and errands while ensuring safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation; valid driver's license and proof of insurance if using a car.
• Nurturing and compassionate nature with desire to care for others.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Call office each morning for assignments.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing).
• Perform routine house cleaning, meal prep, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctors, store, and other errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client’s condition.
