Job summary

Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana is seeking a Day-shift Home Health Aide (HHA) for the 14-bed Inpatient Facility in Columbus, IN. The HHA will handle a patient caseload under the supervision of an RN Case Manager, providing non-skilled nursing assistance and patient comfort.

Shifts are day 7:00am–7:30pm, 3x12s, with every other weekend. Salary range is $20.00 to $21.50 per hour, plus shift premium and other company guidelines. PSLF eligibility is available for Our Hospice employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Licensed Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in Indiana.
• Interest and ability in providing patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care in the IPF as assigned, with comfort, care, and compassion.
• Assist patients with daily hygiene activities (showering, dressing, shaving, toileting).
• Observe patients and report observations to the RN Case Manager or Nurse Facilitator.
• Complete patient records accurately in HCHB and timely progress notes.
• Attend and participate in Interdisciplinary Group meetings and staff trainings.
• Participate in at least 12 hours of in-service education per year.
• Be willing and able to lift patients for routine hygiene as needed.
