Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services, Inc. is hiring a Retail Food Services Associate to support timely, safe, quality food service for customers, including food preparation, serving and area stocking and sanitation.

This role requires strong communication and organizational skills to engage effectively with customers, maintain accurate records, and ensure a compliant and high‑quality food service experience in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions including recipes, menus, chemical mixtures.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Mathematical skills and problem solving.
• Interpersonal skills and customer service.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, plates and serves food to customers.
• Follows daily menu, recipes, and service standards.
• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of all service areas.
• Operates cash register and handles transactions accurately.
• Keeps accurate documentation and records as assigned.
• Participates in HACCP program and food safety procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional conduct.
