Job summary

Ellis House LLC (Home Care) is seeking a Geriatric Nurse to care for aging patients, administer medications, and follow care orders set by the team of doctors. You will work closely with other nurses and aides, make rounds with doctors as needed, and provide support to patients and their families.

The ideal candidate has experience with older adults, holds a current state nursing license, and can work well both independently and within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Active, valid nursing license within the state.
• Experience working with an aging population desired.
• Comfortable working independently and within a team.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Make rounds to check on each patient, assess well-being, and note issues.
• Administer prescribed medications as directed.
• Make rounds with physicians, sharing insights and taking notes.
• Assist other nurses or aides to keep shifts moving and ensure high-quality care.
• Provide a positive, supportive presence to aging patients.
