Qualifications

• Licensed CNA or related caregiver experience
• TB skin test current and annually
• Background check cleared within 2 years
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Ability to read and write English
• Must communicate effectively
• Compassion for and desire to work with elderly
• Ability to perform all duties under essential job functions

Responsibilities

• Document resident activity on approved forms
• Provide resident care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, linens, positioning, transfers, incontinence care
• Observe changes in resident condition and report to supervisor
• Make rounds to check resident status
• Respond to call lights promptly
• Vital sign monitoring as trained
• Assist with dining service and activity program
• Follow safety and infection control policies
• Follow resident care plan and document accordingly
• Hear, understand, and respond to resident communication
• Report incidents and complete paperwork
• Laundry and linen care per policy
• Maintain equipment and general cleanliness
• Ensure work areas are clean and safe and follow infection control policies
• Ensure compliance with regulations and resident rights
• Attend in-service trainings
• Promote resident participation in activities
• Answer phone appropriately
• Meet customer service standards with resident satisfaction as a priority
