Job summary

Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services (CFCS) in Hayward, CA invites an experienced Funeral Event Planner to guide families through funeral decisions with compassion. You will be the primary contact for families, parish staff, vendors, and CFCS staff, coordinating all aspects of the service.

Requirements include event planning experience, an associate degree or 60 hours toward one, and a Funeral Director license is a plus. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Event planning experience is required.
• An associates degree or 60 hours toward an Associate’s Degree is required.
• Funeral Director license is a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License is a must.
• Interest in obtaining a funeral license is a plus.
• Interest in Catholic environment; all backgrounds welcome to apply.
• Passion for people; able to coordinate with many internal/external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide families through funeral planning with care and compassion.
• Serve as primary contact to families, parish staff, vendors, and CFCS staff for funeral services.
• Coordinate and follow through on all aspects of the funeral service case.
