Job summary

Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services (CFCS) seeks a dedicated Funeral Event Planner to guide families through the funeral planning process at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery & Funeral Center in Hayward, CA. You will be the primary liaison for families, parish staff, vendors, and CFCS staff, coordinating every detail of the service with care and compassion.

Must have event planning experience for large functions or a Funeral Director license.

Qualifications

• Event planning experience a must.
• An associate degree or 60 hours towards an Associate’s Degree (any field of study).
• Funeral Director license a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License a must.
• Interest in obtaining a funeral license a plus.
• Interest in working in a Catholic environment, all backgrounds welcome to apply.
• Passion for people.
• Ability to coordinate with many internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Great organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact to families, parish staff, vendors, and CFCS staff for the funeral services.
• Guide families through the process of planning the funeral with care and compassion.
• Coordinate and follow-through on all aspects of the funeral service case.
