Bram Funeral Home in Maryville, MO is seeking a dedicated Funeral Director and embalmer to handle day-to-day activities and join a tight-knit team. You will provide compassionate customer service to families and coordinate services with care.

The role includes embalming and cosmetology if applicable, preparing ceremonies, managing arrangements, paperwork, and on-call duties, while upholding regulatory standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed Funeral Director in Ohio or ability to reciprocate.
• 1-3 years or more of Funeral Directing preferred.
• Driver's license with clean driving record.
• Adhering to the dress code of the funeral home.
• Willingness and ability to be on call on a rotating schedule.

Responsabilités

• Participate in daily funeral home activities, including arrangements, services, and removals as needed, embalming, dressing, casketing.
• Counsel with and coordinate arrangements with families and other third parties to carry out selected funeral, cremation and cemetery services with care and compassion.
• Develop and maintain knowledge to explain benefits, present options and assist with selection of products and services.
• Execute and finalize all financial arrangements for purchases of merchandise and services, including securing payment.
• Assist with conducting, setup and preparation of visitations, funeral and memorial services.
• Follow all administrative policies and procedures related to the deceased, and ensure paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
• Maintain licensure and/or other certification to meet regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies and ensure they are carried out.
• Assist in transferring cremated remains and packaging/ preparation of urns/keepsakes.
• General upkeep of building, grounds and cars, light housekeeping.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
• Contribute to a strong team and culture.
• If applicable: Perform embalming and cosmetology per standards.
