Job summary

sci is seeking a licensed Funeral Director in Hawaii to coordinate funeral arrangements, conduct services, and guide families through the death-care process in a compliant and compassionate manner.

The role involves presiding over visitation, funeral, and graveside services, ensuring adherence to regulations, and coordinating merchandise, pricing, and contracts with the care teams. Experience with life insurance and pre-need services is helpful.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science.
• Current Funeral Director license within the practicing state.
• Valid state driver’s license required to operate company vehicles.
• Industry experience is preferred.
• Ability to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receives or initiates arrangements with deceased next of kin, guiding families through funeral planning.
• Presides as Master of Ceremonies for visitation, funeral, or graveside services in accordance with regulations and company standards.
• Oversees arrangements, merchandise selection, pricing, and contracts; coordinates with service teams.
• Performs event planning tasks including music, flowers, catering, and memorial merchandise as needed.
• Ensures compliance with mortuary regulations and company policies.
