Job summary

CleanSlate Centers is seeking a Medical Receptionist in the Plainfield, IN area to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will manage front desk operations, check-ins, and scheduling, ensuring a warm, efficient patient experience and smooth day-to-day flow of the clinic.

This role requires 1+ year in a fast-paced medical office, strong customer service skills, and proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced medical office.
• Customer service and/or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient with EMRs, Microsoft Office, and phone systems.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with warmth, compassion, and professionalism.
• Confirm and update insurance and demographic details at each visit.
• Schedule and coordinate provider appointments, adjusting as needed.
• Assist patients who missed appointments to encourage treatment continuity.
• Handle prior authorizations and explain patient financial responsibilities.
• Distribute, verify, and scan forms, including handbooks and intake documents.
• Collect co-pays and process payments; set up payment plans when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized front office and uphold patient confidentiality.
• Provide courteous, effective communication by phone and in person.
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a supportive work environment.
