Job summary

Sarah Daft Home is seeking a part-time Environmental Services Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, manage supplies, and follow infection control policies while using PPE as required.

The role emphasizes teamwork, ability to read/write English, basic math, and flexibility to handle a variety of cleaning duties in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and perform basic math computations.

Responsibilities

• Dusts furniture, woodwork and fixtures; cleans rooms and bathrooms.
• Operates environmental services equipment (vacuum, floor cleaners, buffers, etc.).
• Cleans and disinfects fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors and walls of bathrooms.
• Gathers and disposes of trash; moves light furniture as needed.
• Maintains daily and deep cleaning schedules per policies.
• Reports any defects to supervisor and adheres to infection control PPE rules.
