Job summary

Southland Health & Rehab is seeking a dedicated full-time Housekeeper to support daily operations in our facility. You will perform cleaning and sanitation tasks across patient areas, restrooms and common spaces, following established procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include floor care, waste disposal, surface cleaning, window/drape maintenance, and collaboration with the maintenance and care teams to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, damp mop, and wet mop tile floors; follow center procedures.
• Report carpeted areas needing cleaning to supervisor.
• Dust and wipe surfaces in patient rooms per procedures.
• Empty trash and sanitize bathrooms; clean mirrors, windows and fixtures.
• Move furniture to access spaces and clean behind/underneath; change curtains as needed.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and follow infection control standards.
• Handle chemicals safely; lock or supervise chemical storage as required.
