Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living in Keizer, OR, is seeking a dedicated Caregiver for Arbor at Avamere Court. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and ensuring resident safety and comfort.

You will perform housekeeping, monitor health, and communicate concerns to medical staff, while maintaining confidentiality and a warm, cheerful environment for seniors.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• A genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Support mobility, transfers, and walking with residents.
• Assist with meal preparation and setting up meals.
• Provide emotional support and companionship through conversations and activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment including housekeeping and laundry.
• Monitor health, observe changes, and report concerns to medical staff.
• Answer resident calls for assistance promptly and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with orientation of new residents and staff; perform other duties as assigned.
