Job summary

Senior Resource Group in Goleta, CA is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide daily living assistance in a resident care setting. The role involves helping with personal care, meals, and maintaining a safe, clean environment in accordance with each resident's plan.

The position offers full-time schedules with a mix of day and evening shifts, competitive pay between $20.00 and $20.50 per hour, paid training, and benefits including PTO and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Previous experience with residents required; dementia experience preferred.
• Reliable schedule; overnight hours required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• First Aid/CPR certification is required, or to be completed within first 30 days.
• Knowledge and experience in working with elderly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident assistance with activities of daily living.
• Maintain a setting that is clean, safe and comfortable.
• Perform daily housekeeping laundering tasks for residents.
• Set up for meals and clean up after.
• Customize supportive services for residents and families.
• Deliver services and monitor resident health per the service plan; assist with medications as delegated.
• Conduct or assist residents in programming activities.
• Ensure high quality of resident care and suggest improvements.
• Participate in in-service education and team meetings.
• Maintain a positive working environment and teamwork.
• Ensure resident supplies are charged to residents.
• Complete end of shift reports.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor on duty.
• Respond to resident needs promptly; training provided for the right candidates.
• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility).
• Transfer and escort residents as needed.
